# Gish

> Gish is a modern wishlist platform. You pin items from any store, share one link, and let friends gift solo, group-buy, or fund the cause behind your wish — all from a single public profile at `gishme.com/@yourhandle`.

## What Gish is

Gish unifies in one wishlist what most platforms split across many:

- **Solo gifts** — friends buy a single item for you outright (like Amazon Wishlist, but from any store).
- **Group buys** — multiple friends pool money toward one expensive item, with split-pay built in.
- **Cause campaigns** — fundraise for medical expenses, community projects, memorial funds; payouts go to verified payees.
- **Outcome funds** — initiator raises money for a specific outcome (a course, a piece of equipment, a trip), funds released to a verified recipient on completion.
- **Patron tiers** — recurring contributions toward an ongoing wish or creator project.
- **Registries** — wedding, baby, housewarming, and graduation registries that work across every retailer.

Every wish is one of those types. Every wishlist can mix them.

## How a wish becomes a gift

1. **Pin** — paste any product URL, use the Chrome/Edge/Firefox extension, or pick from curated catalogs. The wisher controls visibility (public, friends-only, private).
2. **Share** — one public link, `gishme.com/@yourhandle`. No account needed for gifters.
3. **Receive** — gifters complete the purchase through the platform (for solo gifts) or contribute to a pool (for group buys, causes, outcomes). The wisher gets the item or the funds; the gifter gets a receipt and an optional thank-you flow.

## What makes Gish different

- **Retailer-agnostic.** A wishlist pinning a Crate & Barrel chair, a Bandcamp album, and a Saint Laurent shoe all coexist. Solo-store registries (Amazon, Target, Zola) cannot do this.
- **Multi-mechanic.** GoFundMe is cash-only. Honeyfund is honeymoons-only. Amazon Wishlist is products-only. Gish is all of them.
- **Verified payees for funds.** Outcome and cause payouts route through a verification process so the recipient is a real person or entity, not an anonymous Stripe Connect account.
- **Public profile by default (opt-out).** A Gish handle is a shareable identity, not a one-off URL. Friends find your latest list at the same address every time.
- **Privacy tiers per wish.** A wisher can mark a wish "lock to one seller" or "any seller is fine" — gifters see only what the wisher allows.

## Who uses Gish

- People who want a single wishlist for every occasion, not one per retailer.
- Friend groups coordinating birthday/wedding/baby-shower gifts.
- Creators and patrons running recurring funding.
- Causes raising money for verified payees with full transparency.
- Brands publishing curated collections.

## Pricing

Free for wishers and gifters forever. Paid tiers (Plus, Pro, Business) add power-user features for creators and teams. See `/llms/pricing.md` for full breakdown.
