How a Gish group buy works
Anyone can chip in. Your card is authorized but only charged when the goal hits 100%. If the goal isn't reached by the deadline (May 30), you can carry over to the next campaign or get a full refund. The recipient — Alex — never sees who contributed unless contributors choose to attach their name to a note.
Common questions
When does my card get charged?
Only when the group buy hits its $2,495 goal. Until then, your card is authorized for the amount but no money moves. If the goal isn't reached by May 30, the authorization is released — full refund.
Can I contribute anonymously?
Yes. When you check out, toggle "Gift anonymously" — Alex will see the contribution count rise but won't see your name or note unless you opt in.
What if Alex already got a Peloton?
If the recipient marks the wish as fulfilled outside Gish, the campaign auto-closes and contributors are refunded automatically.
Is there a fee?
A single processing fee is shown transparently at checkout, with a tooltip. The wisher (Alex) never sees a fee — receipts itemise everything.
How will it get to Alex?
Once funded, Gish places the order with Onepeloton.com and ships directly to Alex's verified address. Alex's address is never shared with contributors.
