We're a small team rebuilding how friends give to each other — gifts, group buys, outcome funds, patron tiers, and causes — with verified payees and end-to-end receipts. We want to hire people who care about the awkwardness of money between friends and want to make it less awkward.
Most "values" pages are aspirational. These are operating instructions — they're how decisions get made on a Tuesday afternoon when nobody's watching.
Every claim we make about money — yours, your friends', a recipient's — is backed by a receipt. We don't ship features that depend on people taking each other's word for it.
We talk about the things gifting is actually weird about — splitting bills, missed birthdays, money between friends. Being clinical about the awkward parts is what lets us design around them.
We aim to top out around 60 people, ever. Smaller teams ship better products, can pay everyone well, and don't require management layers that turn good ideas into committee decisions.
Gish is one of eight Loconomy brands. We don't dilute — each brand gets its own dedicated team and its own product roadmap. You'll work on Gish, not on "the platform."
Verified payees. Escrowed outcomes. FTC-compliant disclosures everywhere. If we lose trust, the whole thesis collapses. Trust & safety isn't a department — it's a constraint everyone designs against.
We write like a friend who has thought hard about gifting etiquette, not a tech bro who just discovered "social commerce." If you love good copy and bad jargon makes you wince, you'll fit in.
Every role is remote-first. Full-time and senior unless noted. Salary bands are published on every job description — no negotiation theatre.
Own the wish-to-receipt pipeline end-to-end. Postgres + Node + a TypeScript frontend. You'll build features alongside the product designer and ship to production every week.
Lead the iOS app from prototype to App Store. SwiftUI, Sign in with Apple, share extensions, an Apple Watch companion, an iMessage extension. You'll own the spec and the ship.
Lead Android. Kotlin + Jetpack Compose, share targets, Material 3. Sister to the iOS role — same scope, mirrored stack.
Own the design system. The prototype already has 50 themes, an editorial voice, and Liquid Glass aesthetics — you'll inherit it and grow it. Strong typography sense required.
First T&S hire. Define the verified-payee process, build the escrow rules, write the abuse-handling playbooks. Background in payments / fintech / fundraising platforms strongly preferred.
Build the brand-storefront program. Affiliate relationships with retailers and direct partnerships with brands. You'll own the contracts, the integrations, and the revenue line.
Run the Volumes blog. SEO/AEO/GEO sophistication required. You'll commission outside writers, edit a weekly publishing schedule, and grow organic traffic from zero. Reports to the founder, not marketing.
First ops hire. Email support, refund processing, abuse-reports triage. You'll set up the tooling, write the macros, and train future hires.
Help us scale from 14 to 28 in twelve months without breaking the culture. Start as a contractor, convert to FTE if it works. You'll own the entire pipeline.
No ping pong. No nap pods. Salary bands published on every job. Real PTO. Real equity. Tools you actually need.
Bands published on every JD. We hire at the top of the band for hires we want.
Every employee gets meaningful equity. Standard 4-year vest, 1-year cliff. 10-year exercise window.
Work from anywhere with 4hrs of overlap with our shared anchor (currently 12:00–16:00 UTC). Quarterly in-person offsites — rotating cities.
Plus your home country's holidays. Plus 12 weeks parental leave for any parent.
Spend it on whatever helps you ship — laptop, monitor, chair, headphones.
Books, courses, conferences. We just want the receipt.
Health, fully covered: private health insurance for you and dependents in your country, or stipend if your country has universal coverage.
Two synchronous meetings a week, max. Everything else is documents and Loom videos.
No take-home tests longer than 90 minutes. We pay for any work product. We tell you within 5 business days.
We picked Gish because the founder said the quiet part out loud: gifting is awkward, money between friends is awkward, and most products either pretend it isn't or lean so hard into "fun" that they make it worse. The honesty is the product.
If you're great and we're not currently hiring for what you do, write to us anyway.
